Eloy Cavazos

Eloy Cavazos was born in August 25, 1950. He is from Ciudad Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon. He received the alternativa in August 28, 1966 in Monterrey, N.L. The godfather was Antonio Velazquez and Manolo Martinez was the witness. "Cari�oso" was the first bull he fought. It was from San Miguel Mimiahuapan's ranch. The confirmation of the alternativa was at Plaza Mexico in January 14,1968. In that occasion the godfather was Alfredo Leal and Jaime Rangel was the witness. Bulls were from Jesus Cabrera's ranch. At Spain, he confirmed in May 22, 1971 with Miguel Mateo "Miguel�n" as godfather, and Gabriel de la Casa as witness. Bulls were from Luis Osborne's ranch.

He decided to quit bullfighting because a cerebral illnes. The retreat was at Monumental de Monterrey in March 23, 1985. He fought six bulls ( three of them from Bego�a and the others from MImianuapan ). In that day he was awarded ten ears and four tails.

Love to life and bullfighting helped him to overcome illness. That is why he returned to bullfighting in September 13, 1987.

In this moment, he is the best. His latest triumphs were in the 96-97 bullfighting season at Plaza Mexico. He cut eight ears in three afternoons. That is why he was awarded the trophy like the winner of the season.

His principal caracteristics are art, grace, bravery, devotion and discipline.

He is the bullfigther who makes the most money in all Mexico, the one who has been awarded the most ears and tails, and the one with a real triunfal and more promoved return. He is the one who has fought more bulls in a day too. Then, the title of "the best bullfighter" doesn't have discussion. Actually, with 30 years like a bullfighter, he is a meritorious representative of mexican bullfighting in all the world.
